Please note that the 2.00" x 0.75" size that is supported in Jewel360 does not have a corresponding label size by Dymo. For that size, it is only supported by Zebra label printers.
Also note that when buying labels, the official Dymo labels have punchouts between labels so the printer knows where to stop. We have clients who have purchased some labels that do not have the punchout, and will not work. Be careful when buying the labels to make sure that they have the punchout (some generic brands do this correctly).
On the 'Dumbbell' labels, they are '2-up' meaning they print two to a label and you will peel them out of a die-cut rectangular label, as pictured below.
In our system, the 'Dymo Dumbbell' option will print out its data like this:
Please note the word 'landscape' here is NOT the printer orientation to use with any of these label types. All will print out in Portrait orientation because the text on the labels comes out of the printer upright.
You can use different label sizes; for example, the Dymo 450 family of printers defaults to an Address Label size, 30252, which is 3.5" x 1.25", but our system and our support team do not officially support any other sizes you might choose. It may be possible for us to set your system up to print to them, but we cannot guarantee the results.
Once you have the best version of the driver installed, you will want to open your list of printers in your Control Panel. Many versions of Windows have a Devices and Printers link in your Start menu that will take you right there, but you can always find your printers in your Control Panel list.
Right-click on your Dymo printer and go to Printer Properties to start. (Note: if you are using Windows XP, you will go to Preferences instead.) It is recommended to leave the settings you see alone unless directed to make changes to them below.

At the bottom of the Printer Properties window, click on Preferences.

In the Preferences window, click the Advanced button in the lower right.

In the Advanced Options window, make sure your proper label size is selected. You will want either 30332 (1" x 1") or 30334 (2-1/8" x 1-1/8"):
Click OK to close the Advanced Options window, and then do the same for the Printing Preferences window. In the Properties window, click on the tab at the top for Advanced. At the bottom of the Advanced tab, find the Printing Defaults button and click on it:

You will make the exact same changes you did under Preferences, here, so in the lower right of the Printing Defaults window, click on the Advanced button:

In the Printing Defaults Advanced Options window, select your label size (we will use 30334 as an example) and click OK to close this window, then click OK for the Printing Defaults window.

Next, run a test print from our system to make sure everything works all right! If you have products already loaded, you can go to Inventory > Products search for the product you want, check its checkbox on the left, then at the top click Bulk Actions > Print Barcodes. Choose your label size and then search for a product. At the bottom, click the Print Preview button to see a preview of the output. Before you click to Print, be sure to read the note below!

Add a name for your printer if you like. Click on the Use drop-list and search for Dymo and then find your model in the list.
To configure the settings for the printer itself, open either Chrome or Safari and enter the following:

If you get the screen below, you need to enable CUPS for your OS. If not, skip down below to the Localhost Configuration section.
To enable CUPS for your computer, first highlight and copy: cupsctl WebInterface=yes

Next, click the magnifying glass Search icon in the upper right and enter Terminal, then click to run the application.

After Terminal opens, you will see a cursor flashing: paste what you copied and click Return to run the setting.

You can close Terminal after it completes the setting. You will now be able to access your printer configuration from the localhost.
You will see a list of all active printers once the localhost opens. Click on the Dymo and a page will load showing the printer attributes.
Find the drop list pictured below and click on Set Default Options.

Select the labels you will be using from the Media Size list. You will want either 30332 (1" x 1") or 30334 (2-1/8" x 1-1/8") for use in our system. Keep the defaults for the other options. Click the Set Default Options button when finished.

Note: if for some reason you don't see the specific label numbers for your Dymo printer, select Custom Size from the Media Size drop list and enter either 1 x 1 in inches for the 30332 labels, 2.125 x 1.125 in inches for the 30334 labels, or 2 x .75 inches for the 30330 labels.

If you already have a point of sale system that operates on a computer, it is likely that your existing equipment will work with our system. Specialized hardware, such as a dedicated cash register machine, most likely will not work with our system for its special-function buttons. We have some recommendations for equipment that we have tested, but they are not required for our system. Hardware is an area that can change rapidly so for the latest possible information, if you are in the onboarding process, ask your Client Success Manager. Devices such as Netbooks, Chromebooks, iPads, and any Android, Linux, or other operating system devices may experience limited functionality. For utilizing the Point of Sale Register, iPad tablets and similar devices will function just fine as long as you have a wireless receipt printer and barcode scanner. Android tablets often have USB ports you can use to connect more affordable wired receipt printers and barcode scanners.
*Devices such as the iPad do not have a USB port, and printing through a browser from an iPad is not supported so you will need wireless peripheral devices.

Many of our customers have chosen to go with a standard desktop PC that you can pick up for about $300 - $400. Some of our customers have gone with a touchscreen computer. If you have to buy, get something that you like and that is dependable. If you have any questions, please call us.
For our system, your existing router that is already working for you will usually be sufficient. If you have internet outages that are of concern to you, there is a type of router that will automatically switch over to a cellular connection as a hotspot, to save you as much down time as possible. Understand, this is purely optional, but below is a link to an excellent router by Linksys.

Nearly any barcode scanner that connects to your computer by USB, Bluetooth, or WiFi will work. USB barcode scanners for a desktop or laptop are generally the most affordable and reliable. Generally, more expensive scanners will have additional features, but may not offer better scanning. Your scanner should be able to read 1D scans in code 128 (just a single read across the barcode), which is something almost all scanners currently available can do.

If you need something even more portable, for example, to use at a trade show or a remote location, this scanner will work well for you. This unit is designed to connect using Bluetooth to mobile devices such as notebooks (Apple, Windows, or Chromebooks), tablets (iOS or Android), or even phones (iOS, Android, Windows, or Blackberry) to scan 1D barcodes into the device.

The label printer is used to create barcode labels for products in your store. Look for one that connects to your computer. An inexpensive printer here should work just fine. We frequently set up Dymo 550 series printers and Zebra ZSB series printers. If you have a different type of printer, we can almost certainly help you set it up with our system if it plugs into your computer by USB.
Our system is currently capable of printing to 1" x 1" labels, 2.25" x 1.25" labels, 2" x 3/4" labels, and .4375" x 2.125" 'dumbbell' labels. Unless you are on a very tight budget, we would recommend spending enough money to purchase a heavier-duty receipt printer. Printers can be found for around $50, but many priced that low will print receipts that aren't very legible or easily scanned. Something in the $200 - $300 range will be more reliable and might save you some headaches in the long run.
We set up Star TSP143 series printers and Epson TM-M30 series printers on a regular basis, but other models work well, too, just make sure it plugs in with USB and can print from your operating system (do a test print from Word or a similar application).
Please note that unless you have your own IT administrator who can set up an Ethernet-based printer, it is recommended you order the USB version, which we can help you set up.
Receipt Printers > (PC & MAC Compatible)

Most likely, unless you have a drawer or cash box you prefer, you will want a cash drawer that can plug into your receipt printer so the drawer will pop open after a sale is completed and the receipt starts printing.
If you are using Jewel360 Payments as your credit card processor, the WisePOS E terminal on the left side in the image above is currently the terminal you'll be using for our U.S. clients. If you are in Canada using Interac, it is likely you have the S1 F2 terminal pictured above. Part of the process of setting up your credit card processing will be informing you of how you will get your terminal so you do not need to buy this separately ahead of time.
What would you do if your internet connection went down in the middle of your business day? Our system depends on the internet to operate, so if you are wanting to make sure you can always connect, having an internet hotspot that uses your cellular service as an alternative is a great option. Contact your mobile service provider for hardware solutions.
