The Metal Scrapping Tool is a companion feature to the Metal Buy module, designed to help users manage and scrap metal products purchased from customers. This tool allows users to track transactions, view detailed product information, and determine the current value of metals based on today's spot rates.
To get to this area, hover over Modules on the left and click Metal Buy.
The Metal Buy page displays each purchased item in a row of the table. Each row includes purchase information such as metal type, purity, weight, unit of measure, rate, purchase value, and current value based on spot rates.
Use the Date Range filter at the top to view transactions within a specific timeframe. Filter by metal type and purity to narrow down the list of items.
You can adjust the unit of measure in the filters to see dynamic changes in weight and value in the table below. The default value for unit of measure is determined by what is selected in the Metal Buy settings page under Settings > Integrations > Metal Buy on the General Settings tab, as pictured below.
You can select items you want to scrap by checking the boxes on the left side. Once you have selected the ones you want to scrap, click the Scrap Selected button in the upper right corner to view a summary of selected items, including current value and purchase price.
In the Metal Scrap window, enter the Scrap Value offered by the refiner to calculate estimated profit and your ROI (Return on Investment).
Click the Scrap button at the bottom of the window to mark the items as scrapped.
