Jewelers Mutual® Integration: Luxsurance®

This integration with Jewelers Mutual® brings new technologies to the jeweler that transform the point-of-sale experience through an app that allows customers to digitally manage their new and existing jewelry with ease. The advanced software capabilities give customers a sleek and easy way to keep inventory of their entire jewelry collection, while allowing them to submit their jewelry descriptions directly to Jewelers Mutual® to receive a quote and insure each piece with a click of a button.

The app is called Lux Digital Vault and provides central storage, easy organization, photo documentation, and security. More information can be found in the links section at the bottom of this article.

 

Setting Up Luxsurance®

  1. If you don't already have one, create an account with Jewelers Mutual®.
  2. After signing up, Jewelers Mutual® will send Jewel360 the credentials and we'll enable the feature for your store. There's nothing you need to turn on except for the optional pop-up mentioned below.
  3. Once Luxsurance® is enabled, you can go to settings and enable a pop-up that will appear if Luxsurance® wasn't selected before purchase (either online or offline). This setting is optional but is a good reminder in case you or the customer forgot to check Luxsurance® before checking out.

 

Adding Luxsurance® to Register Purchases

Step 1: Add the customer in the Register.

Step 2: Add a qualifying product to the Register.

Step 3: Check the box for Luxsurance®. This will be a checkbox that appears in the register as pictured below. If both Insurance and Luxsurance® are enabled, both will appear at checkout next to each other and both will have their own checkbox selection.

Step 4: Fill out the customer information. After clicking the checkbox the customer information box will automatically appear.

If you forget to check the Luxsurance® box, a pop-up will appear as a reminder. This is the same pop-up used for both Jewelers Mutual® Insurance and Luxsurance®. If you click Yes, the customer information window will open. This pop-up is enabled by going to: Settings > Integrations > Jewelers Mutual > Personal Luxsurance®. You'll notice that there is one setting for the Register and one for the website.

Important Information

It's also important to note that product should be assigned a Product Type. While assigning a product type helps Jewelers Mutual® set up the right type of care for customer's products, it is not required. Product Type can be assigned in the product details page.

Luxsurance® appears in the Register after qualifying products are added and when a customer is selected. This means that with different types of purchases or transactions (ie. Layaways, Special Orders, Works Orders etc.), Luxsurance® will appear when you add those items to the Register or when a customer adds them to the website shopping cart.
